eAssistant

eAssistant knows what you need. It knows what application you are in, where in the application you are, your role, your department and even your language. As a result, it targets what help you might need. Or you can use its Search. You pick the help topic and the output type you prefer, see below:

Walk through

Follow Me

The Follow walk through is like an overlay on the live application highlighting each step and providing instruction, allowing the users to perform the task in the live application. The user has controls to move forward, backward, pause or exit Follow me.

Standard Document

The Standard job aid has a header with the purpose, prerequisites and related documents. Step by step screenshots and other images span the width of the page and each step/action instructions can be configured to appear either above or below the screenshot

Demo Simulation

Watch and learn as the process plays step by step. User controls at the bottom allow you to pause, skip ahead or back, zoom in or out.

Interactive Simulation

Similar to Demo but the simulation requires the user to perform each step following instruction prompts. Great for hands on experience in a safe simulated environment.

Test Simulation

Like Interactive but with less detailed guidance on each step. The user’s performance is tracked and reported with Opus or imported to your LMS or to your xAPI Learning Locker for analysis

Digital Book

Books provide you the ability to organize your Opus content into a training manual or collection. The layout includes Title, Introduction, Sections, Opus Content, and a Conclusion. Example of types of books: Onboarding Manual, Introduction to Company TechStack, Introduction to WorkDay, Accounts Payable Manual, etc.

Opus automatically updates a Book when any document contained within is published or unpublished. This ensures your Book always has the most up-to-date information.

1. User Acceptance Test scripts

Job aid & excel format

An integral part of the implementation process is user acceptance testing (“UAT”) which is required before any new, updated or optimized system can go-live. Core to this phase is the generation of test scripts for every process affected and involves describing every step in the process. The tester indicates “pass” or “fail” for every step. If any step fails, that process has to be corrected by the configuration team and the UAT script is updated and the testing occurs again. This is an interactive process and generating the test scripts is very time consuming.

Unlike other methods of creating UAT scripts, Opus generates these scripts easily and quickly, literally in minutes, providing two formats: a job aid format and an excel format.

eLearning

The Test simulation mode is often incorporated into eLearning courses to test and score critical application process execution.

Instructor Led training

Many entities still conduct Instructor Led training (in-person and remote) for training on application processes (called scenario training). Opus job aids, books and simulations are often incorporated.

Learning Management Systems (LMS)

LMS are often used as a content management system for learning related information. A variety of Opus formats can be housed in an LMS and Test simulation scores can be transmitted to the LMS. However, Epilogue believes that the Opus eAssistant is the best method for “moment of need” access to help and guidance.

SCORM & xAPI packages

Opus simulations can be exported as a SCORM file and uploaded to an LMS. xAPI captures learner behaviors when they are viewing Opus content and can track what formats are being used and pass/fail rates on the test simulations.
